April Snapshots

April is just speeding along and I have numerous photos that I want to share, because otherwise they're just going to get lost in the shuffle.  And since Ben has decided that reading the Thiem Famly blog is one of his new favorite things, I figured I'd better put up some of this month's snapshots.  The photo from above is from our last weekend of skiing at Alpine Meadows.  I've also got a short clip from skiing, click here to watch it on YouTube.  Below are some photos of the following day while skiing with Meg, Dan and Dan.  I love that we went all the way out to Estelle Bowl, nothing seems to slow Megan down.

The boys got their new Kuk Swool Won belts.

We went to San Diego for spring break, the boys enjoyed some solo time with Miles and Lisa, who spoiled them rotten with trips to the beach, Legoland and the movies.

A spontaneous campout at the property, best kind of camping since the caravan is parked there, we got Thai take out, brought some Rippon wine, build a fire and hung out.  We promise to take the boys there soon, but this trip was a brief getaway for an early anniversary date.

And finally, since this is already too long...  some photos from our short trip to hang out with Tim & Lydia and their boys.  We took the ferry to Angel Island, something I hadn't done since my days in Kings Mountain.  Fun to see the boys all interact together.  So there you go, there's April in a nutshell.

s'mores

Some s'mores action for you, what I love about the photo above is the very obvious marshmellow in Josh's cheek while he roasts another one.

And I promise he's drinking a root beer in this final photo, but can't you see this same image in say 15 years?

a photo a day/March

I'm happy to report my photo-a-day challenge is complete.  We already know I take a lot of photos, but it was nice to have a challenge that was to capture anything, some of the photos were for Outside Inn blog agenda, some were instagram photos, but many this past month were of the family.   And I leave you with a photo of me taking a photo, by my friend Kathy (who was my photo-a-day challenge mate).  I promise the family blog will continue ticking along, but perhaps not quite as often.  I love that my business blogging agenda includes the term "consistency" and my family blog for the last 6 years has been a 2-3/month blog (with the exception of big vacations), so I think I'm going to go back to my consistent routine.
